Derek has chopped and changed this pond many times since it was first built. Trying everything to get the system running as good as he can. Recently adding a Baki shower to the pond, to see if it can make the water any better.
The fish have always been superb in the current system growing like you would not believe. I sold Derek the majority of the fish in the pond and have the measurements from when I first bought them in Japan. Derek bought a Chagoi at 88cms from myself which is now 110cms. The other Koi have grown just as well. Having stunning individual examples of Koi in the pond such as a perfect Hi-Utsuri, Kigoi, Purachina…all over 75cms!
Derek also has some of the best Go-Sanke in the UK.
Derek is now planning the next change to the pond which will be the addition of 2 Nexus 300’s to run combined with sieves. This is to add more bacterial media to the system.
